Q- I was wondering, with more and more campaigns/programs asking for an public endurable commitment, do you think there is a tipping point, when people see so many of them, they mean less? Or does it mean people will be more discerning in the commitments they will make?
A- That can be an issue. That is why we try to really focus our programs on the tools that are necessary and sufficient for the behavior change. Adding every tool to a program accelerates that exhaustion. Another way to prevent this is to be strategic with other programs to find cobenefits so you don't both run similar programs at the same time.
